We are an 8(a) Alaska Native Corporation (ANC)
owned by the 13th Regional Corporation which is comprised of 5,900
Alaska Native Shareholders. The Alaska Native Claims Settlement
Act (“ANCSA”) authorized the formation of The 13th Regional
Corporation, an Alaska Corporation for the benefit of non-resident
Alaska Natives. |

was started in 1979 as a sole proprietorship and incorporated in
1992. The 13th Regional Corporation purchased 51% ownership in late
1997 to meet qualification in applying for government contracts
through the minority / disadvantaged element of the Small Business
Administration (SBA) 8(a) program. In 2004 The 13th Regional Corporation
purchased the remaining 49% ownership. |
